Cill Ridge
Sixteen survivors. One forest. Something ancient that has been waiting a very long time.
When a Department of Corrections transport bus leaves the road on a remote Ontario highway, corrections officer Marcus Hale finds himself responsible for fourteen inmates, one injured colleague, and a crashed vehicle in the middle of nowhere. The closest shelter is a cabin at the end of a forest service track that no one remembers putting on any map.
By morning, what Hale and his charges find will rewrite everything they thought they understood about fear, faith, and what it costs to survive.
Cill Ridge is a slow-burn horror novel about sixteen people trapped in a forest that does not intend to let them go — and what they are forced to become in order to survive it. It is about faith under pressure, loyalty under pressure, and the terrible things that ordinary people are capable of when the rules no longer apply and something ancient is waiting just beyond the tree line.
Some of them may make it out.
Not all of them should.
The forest has been waiting. Step inside.

Some things do not remain buried. They are planted. They wait in the darkness the way seeds wait — not passively, not accidentally, but with the whole of their nature bent toward return.
